And when He, glorified and exalted is He, concluded this glad tidings with the decisive, upright, and comprehensive verse, His saying at the beginning of the Surah: "He shapes you in the wombs as He wills" [Aal 'Imran: 6] and His saying here: "He creates what He wills" [Aal 'Imran: 47] suffices for mentioning her pregnancy. He concealed it, and the context certainly guides to the fact that the estimation is: So Allah spoke the truth in what He said to her, so she conceived by it without a male and gave birth to him - as He, glorified and exalted is He, said - a noble one, and He spoke to the people in the cradle and thereafter, and He taught him the Book and wisdom and sent him to the Children of Israel. He completed for them the signs and refuted the doubts as commanded by the One who sent him, glorified and exalted is He, and they knew that he was an abrogator, not a confirmer. So a group followed him, while others opposed him, covering all the verses and turning away from guidance and the clear proofs. They set traps and snares for him and sought to harm him with calamities and misfortunes. They went astray despite knowledge, and clear disbelief appeared from them, and they deviated from the straight path. He then comforted this noble Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, with His saying: "So when he sensed". Al-Harali said: from the sensing, which is the attainment of the matter, hastening to knowledge and feeling. - Ended - "Isa from them knew the disbelief" meaning he knew it with the knowledge of one who witnesses the thing with the senses and saw their plotting against that, increasing in their obstinacy after he knew their disbelief with knowledge that there is no doubt in it. He sought help from the supporters and knew that the storm of war had turned, so he resolved to bring them to the abode of destruction. He said: "Who are my supporters?"

And when the aim was the steadfastness of the supporters with him until his matter is completed, he expressed that with a connection that indicated the inclusion of this word with a word that corresponds to the connection, so he said: "to" meaning those who are continuing or reaching with me by their support to "Allah" [Al-Fatiha: 1] meaning the Most Great King. "The disciples said". Al-Harali said: the plural of Hawari, which is the one who dedicates himself to supporting the one whose support is due to him by preferring him over himself with purity and sincerity, without any impurity or mixture. - Ended -

And it is in the accusative because its ya is temporary. "We are the supporters of Allah" meaning the One who sent you and empowered you to bring forth the signs, for He is encompassing all things in might and knowledge. Then they affirmed the support and confirmed it by explaining with their saying: "We have believed in Allah" meaning upon what He has of the attributes of perfection. Then they emphasized that with their saying addressing Isa, peace be upon him, their Messenger, the most complete of creation at that time: "And bear witness that we are Muslims" meaning submissive to all that you command us with, as is the right of one who believes, so that your testimony against us may be more deserving of our steadfastness and so that you may bear witness for us with it on the Day of Resurrection.
