And when that did not necessitate breaking the norms, he said: ﴿And He will speak to the people﴾ meaning whoever spoke to him from all this type, in whatever language his words were, while he was ﴿in the cradle﴾. Al-Harali said: It is the place of calmness and tranquility for the gentle one who, with that calmness and tranquility, is sustained. End of quote.

And he gave her glad tidings of his long life by saying: ﴿And as a man in his prime﴾ meaning after his descent from the heavens at the end of the Muhammadan day. His speech in both states will be the speech of the prophets without any difference. (p-399) Al-Harali said: And the state of being in one's prime is an age among the four ages of man. The definition of it is that it is the third quarter, which is the peak of the preceding ages of childhood and youth. It is the best of his age, in one whose lifespan is a thousand months - eighty-three years - from the limit of forty-one to eighty-six, if the quarters are divided, each quarter being twenty-one years: one for childhood, one for youth, one for being in one's prime, and one for old age. So that is eighty-three years. End of quote. And this is the clarification of what has been disputed among the words of the people of language. Close to it is the saying of Imam Abu Mansur Abdul Malik bin Ahmad Al-Thaalibi in the fourteenth chapter of his book (The Jurisprudence of Language): Then as long as he is between thirty and forty, he is young; then he is in his prime until he reaches sixty; and it is said: The man became young, then he turned gray, then he aged, then he grew old. End of quote. And the term 'kahl' - the people of language said - is derived from: the plant has matured - if its length is completed before it withers. The words of the jurists do not contradict this, for its foundation is custom. The text regarding his being in his prime is an indication to his mother that he is protected from his enemies if they intend him, and a warning that their claims to crucify him are false. (p-400) And when the rank of righteousness is of the utmost greatness, he said, indicating the high measure of it: ﴿And among the righteous﴾, and informing that it encompasses his matter, including the end of his life, just as it was concurrent with its beginning.
