And when he informed of her supplication, he informed of its acceptance in it. He said: "So He accepted her." He came with the form of the verb indicating action, in accordance with her saying: "So accept" [Al-Imran: 35]. In it, there is an indication of progression, development, and increase, as if he feels that there is an addition for her in every stage she progresses to. Since it was not "So accept from me," his response was not "So He accepted her," which would indicate a single, disconnected granting without continuity and succession. The blessing of her being freed continues to renew for her in herself, and its blessing returns to her mother until she rises to the exalted status of Muhammad, and it is formed in his spouses and those connected to him. End of quote.
And he came with the description indicating kindness added to her, conveying the meaning. He said: "Her Lord." Al-Harali said: And the secret of the acceptance appeared in His saying, glorified and exalted is He: "With a good acceptance," where it was not "with acceptance" - following the first.
And when the acceptance indicated the meaning of what she was granted inwardly, the growth indicated what she was granted outwardly in her physical form. In mentioning the action from "to cause to grow" in His saying: "And He caused her to grow" and the noun from "to grow" in His saying: "A good growth," it indicates the perfection of both matters: the provision for her in the growth that is unseen by the eyes, and its perfection in the essence of the plant that is apparent to the eye. Thus, in the indication and occurrence, the goodness of the effect and the goodness of the result were completed. He expressed her growth and her being planted with a good meaning. End of quote. Therefore, the answer occurred because it is a care from Allah, glorified and exalted is He, for her regarding what her question was about. Indeed, he has gone astray and lied who slandered and accused her, and he has disbelieved and exceeded who claimed in her child the praise that he claimed.
And Al-Harali said: And Allah, glorified and exalted is He, has informed in this specific surah about the story of Mary, blessings and peace be upon her, regarding her acceptance and growth and the goodness of her conduct, with what negated the confusion in her matter and the matter of her child. For the specific purpose of this surah is to clarify the lifting of the confusion that the Christians have gone astray with. He mentions in each surah what is more appropriate and fitting for the specific purpose of its revelation. Therefore, the discourse in the single story in one surah lacks what is fulfilled in another surah due to the difference in the specific purpose of its revelation. The same applies to the repeated stories in the Qur'an of the stories of the prophets and what has been mentioned in it for the purpose of encouragement, affirmation, warning, and other aspects of alerting. End of quote, and in it, there is a variation.
And when the small one must, according to what is customary, have a guardian who takes care of him, he said: "And he took care of her." Al-Harali said: From "taking care," which is the protection of something from all its sides until it becomes like the revolving celestial body. "Zachariah." And in the reading with emphasis, there is an indication that Allah, glorified and exalted is He, is in reality her guardian regarding what He accepted from her, and in it, there is a selection for Zachariah in that He made him a representative for her in it. End of quote.
And when it was the nature of the guarantor to fulfill what the guaranteed is unable to do, He, glorified and exalted is He, clarified that this guarantee was merely in accordance with the customs. It became clear that Allah's acceptance of it sufficed it from anything else. So He said in response to whoever might say: What did He do regarding its guarantee? ﴿Every time﴾ meaning every time ﴿Zachariah entered upon her in the prayer niche﴾ meaning the place of worship. And Al-Harali said: It is the front of the house which is hardly reached except by virtue of Him and strength and effort of war. ﴿He found with her provision﴾ and that is like what was found with Khubaib ibn Adiy, the Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him, a cluster of grapes - as will come at the end of Al-Ma'idah. And similar to that is abundant in this nation. And in this phrase, from the beginning of it, there is an indication of the meaning of the goodness of His guarantee (p-359) and that he would check on her when estimating her need for food, by what the word ﴿every time﴾ indicates of repetition. The guarantor finds the truth has hastened to her with provision from the unseen, by which He, glorified and exalted is He, is the one overseeing her growth so that her growth is from the unseen of His provision, thus making it suitable for the blowing of His spirit and the deposit of His word. And nothing that is touched by the accursed devil, from which Allah, glorified and exalted is He, has protected her, will reach her after the refuge, due to the abundance of mixing in the existences of provisions. So it was from her preservation that Allah, glorified and exalted is He, took charge of her provisions from the unseen except for what is made good by those who have passed. And so that the goodness of her growth is from the best of Allah's provisions, glorified and exalted is He, as it is said: Whoever is nourished by the food of a people is nourished by their hearts, and whoever is nourished by their hearts will reach their destination. And she was like what her guarantor guaranteed her outwardly, and she guaranteed him inwardly when Allah, glorified and exalted is He, revealed to him of His matter what had not previously occurred to him. So for Mary, blessings and peace be upon her, there was a preparation in her provision for what would be the perfection of it in her pregnancy, so that her provision would begin with the word, to be that her pregnancy would be by the word. At that time, Zachariah, peace be upon him, sought what he had witnessed for her, that he be granted a child at a time not appropriate for it, just as Mary was provided with provision at an inappropriate time. And in (p-360) specifying her place in the prayer niche, there is an indication of what has been mentioned of her inner strength, in that the place of women is to be delayed. So Allah, glorified and exalted is He, revealed in her place the mention of the prayer niche as an indication of her perfection. The prayer niche is the front of the house designated for worship. And in her adherence to her prayer niche at the time of receiving provision, there is a declaration that the hermit and the one in seclusion, his house is his prayer niche, and his prayer niche is his house, unlike one who has space on the earth and a place outside the house of Allah. Indeed, the mosques are the houses of the people of Allah who are devoted to Him. So it is their place in their prayers and their place in receiving their provisions. Thus, there is an indication of her presence, and the presence of the people in seclusion is the same in their prayers and their food. Therefore, the state of the servant with his Lord is enhanced by what he is upon at the time of receiving his food and drink. The people of Allah are equal in their life and death, their eating and their prayers. Whoever's heart is heedless at the time of his food will not be able to have his heart present in his prayer. And whoever's heart is present at the time of his food will not be absent in his prayer. And in the mention of provision, there is a common indication that they are types of provisions, in that if He specified, He would specify with it what is more specific than this name. The end.
And when it was said: What would he say to her when he saw that? It was said: Whenever he found that, or when he repeatedly found it, he said: "O Maryam, how is it that this is for you?" Al-Harali said: The word "how" indicates his astonishment at the existence of that provision from different sources: from the aspect of time, that it is not his time; and from the aspect of place, that it is not his place; and from the aspect of how it reached her, that it is not her condition. In mentioning the pronoun in her saying: "She said: It is from Allah," there is an indication of her looking at the entirety of the reality of that provision, not at its particulars. It is news of the vision of the heart, not of the sight of the eye, because it is a word of concealment that encompasses all that its forms have detailed, from what is unified in its concealment. And since it was not from what His wisdom, glorified and exalted is He, has accustomed to manifest through the actions of creation, she said: "From Allah, the Lord of Glory and Honor," because what comes from the accustomed dealings of wisdom is from Him. And what is astonishing in what is from Him is from Him as well. Thus, there are three ranks: a rank that is from Him, a rank that is with Him, and a rank that is ordinary wisdom; and this is in the middle of the three - as He, the Most High, said: "We gave him mercy from Us and taught him knowledge from Us" [Al-Kahf: 65], where it was astonishing to the people of specificity, as He said: "Did you break it to drown its people? You have certainly done a terrible thing" [Al-Kahf: 71]. And the matter is astonishing. And due to the elevation of its rank above the ordinary rank, the news about it was added to the great name, which is the name of all names, since it was not "from my Lord" due to the mention of the name of lordship indicating a material or something close to it or something of its kind, as He said: "This is from the favor of my Lord" [An-Naml: 40], since it was from His custom to be able to kings, and He was empowered in what surrounded Him with the existence of the four corners. Ended.
And when she informed of His breaking, glorified and exalted is He, the custom for her, she explained that by saying, confirming to indicate that this is not within the power of the kings of this world: "Indeed, Allah," meaning the One who has complete encompassing. Al-Harali said: In renewing the great name in the news, there is an indication of the vastness of the news and a hint that this will be for you and for whom Allah wills, as it is for me by what Allah wills, from the aspect that it is not that it will be beautiful for the specificity of what is with her. And this is supported by the generality of her saying: "He provides for whom He wills" and her saying: "Without account" indicates that it is a continuous gift, so it is not limited nor does it multiply. It is provision that is not accounted for, because everything accounted for in the beginning is accountable in the return. Thus, in provision without account from the dealings of wisdom is good news of the lifting of accountability from them in the Hereafter and a guarantee of gratitude for it, because the greatest gratitude for the provision of Allah, glorified and exalted is He, is the servant's recognition that it is from Allah, the Most High. Indeed, only he who takes the provision of Allah, glorified and exalted is He, truly thanks for it. Ended.
