And when He, glorified and exalted is He, removed the ailments; and healed the bitterness; and concluded that there is no escape from destiny; nothing remained for the people of faith except what is inherent in humans of sorrow for the loss of their brothers; and the joy of the lost cools the bitterness of the present; He gave them glad tidings of their lives; and what they attained of their pleasures; and when the Arabs had two festivals before Islam (p-121) from the belief in life after death; He addressed the One whose knowledge is without doubt regarding that; indicating that none understands it as it should be understood except Him; as indicated by His saying in 'Al-Baqarah': ﴿But you do not perceive﴾ [Al-Baqarah: 154]; He said (exalted is He) - adding to 'Say'; endearing to jihad; removing what the hypocrites made distasteful regarding it being a cause of death -: ﴿And do not think that those who were killed﴾; meaning: death befell them in this battle; or otherwise; ﴿In the way of Allah﴾; meaning: the Greatest King; and Allah knows best who is killed in His way; ﴿As dead﴾; meaning: now; ﴿Rather﴾; they are ﴿Alive﴾; and He clarified the increase of their honor; expressing their closeness; with His saying: ﴿With their Lord﴾; meaning: the One who is gracious to them in every situation; so how about in the case of their killing in it? A life that is not like worldly life; so He affirmed their life with His saying: ﴿They are provided for﴾; meaning: provision that is suitable for their life;
