And when He guided them to these sources; and clarified to them some of what it included of benefits; and by this story, the status of the one who has conferred upon them that through his tongue, blessings and peace be upon him, is made clear, with the virtues he possesses, the greatest of which is that he is one of them; he inclines towards them; he has mercy on them; he shows kindness to them; so they become familiar with him; he teaches them; he pointed out that - glorified and exalted is He - so that they may hold fast to his teachings; and not turn away for a moment from the necessity of following his guidance; so He said - glorified and exalted is He - affirming what the situation necessitated from an action that requires the attribution to betrayal: "Certainly Allah has bestowed favor"; that is: the Lord of Glory and Honor; "upon the believers"; He specified them; because they are the chosen ones for this blessing; "when He sent among them"; that is: among them; or because of them; "a Messenger" and increased their desire for him; by saying: "from themselves"; that is: a kind; and a type; they know his trustworthiness; and his protection; and his honor; and his high qualities; and his purity; before prophethood; and after it; "reciting to them His verses"; that is: he removes, by the blessing of the recitation itself, much of the evil of the jinn; and others; from what has been mentioned regarding the benefits of the Qur'an; from what we have known; and what we have not known is more; "and purifying them"; that is: he cleanses them from the impurities of this world; and the burdens; by what he understands with his penetrating understanding; from the subtleties of the indications; and the depths of the expressions; and he prioritized purification due to the necessity of the position of reproach regarding the inclination towards the spoils; as has been mentioned in the Surah of "Al-Baqarah"; "and teaching them the Book"; that is: recitation; because he is from their kind; it is pleasing for them to receive from him; "and wisdom"; interpretation; and clarification; and refinement; "and when"; that is: while they were; "they had passed periods of time while they were on the religion of their father Ismail - blessings and peace be upon him -; he pointed out that by including the neighbor; so he said: "before"; that is: before that; "they were certainly in clear error"; that is: apparent; and it is from the intensity of its clarity like one who calls upon himself to clarify his confusion; and in that is an indication that he - blessings and peace be upon him - taught them from the wisdom in this incident what necessitated their support at the beginning of the day; so when they opposed him, failure occurred.
