And when the successful and safe one may not be close [to Allah]; he said - following the warning with the promise -: "And obey Allah"; the Majestic and Honorable; "and the Messenger"; meaning: the one who is complete in prophethood in a way that no one else is like him; meaning: in fulfilling the commands and avoiding the prohibitions with sincerity; "that perhaps you may receive mercy"; meaning: so that you may have hope and desire that He will act towards you with the actions of the merciful by bringing you close; and love; and fulfilling all that He has promised regarding obedience; such as His support; and others.
