Commentary
And as for those whose faces have turned white; it is due to radiance and splendor, because they believed; so they are safe from the punishment. 'So they are in the mercy of Allah'; meaning: the fruit of the actions of the Lord of Glory and Honor, which is the action of the Merciful; not in other than His mercy. Then he answered the question of someone who seemed to say: 'Will it be removed from them, as is the case with the blessings in this world?' By saying - in a way that makes it clear that it is necessary for them in this world and the Hereafter -: 'They'; meaning: specifically; 'in it they are abiding forever.' Therefore, they believed; so the verse is from the intertwining: the affirmation of disbelief first indicated the intention of faith second, and the affirmation of mercy second indicated the omission of the curse first.
