Then he increased in amazement at their ignorance by saying, changing his words: "They hasten you with the punishment." This means they ask you to bring it upon them immediately, even if it is not at the time most suitable for it. If they knew what they were heading towards, they would wish that they had not been created, let alone hastening it. They would have exerted all their efforts to be saved from it.
And since their entry into the Fire is inevitable due to the encompassing power over them, he affirmed their denial of the Hereafter by establishing something more specific than it: "And indeed, Hellfire," which is from the punishment of the Hereafter, "is surrounding," meaning it is prepared for them, as nothing of it escapes, because the One who prepared it is All-Knowing and All-Powerful. And he said: "with the disbelievers," placing it in the position of "upon them" to indicate what they have earned that deserves its punishment, and generalizing it to all who possess it.
