And when the estimation was: but they have no doubt at all nor any suspicion, due to their saying: indeed, it is false, he means by saying: ﴿but it is﴾ that is, the Qur'an which you have brought and they doubted in it, so they were false in that on every estimation. ﴿Signs﴾ that is, clear indications. ﴿Manifest﴾ that is, very clear in indicating your truthfulness. ﴿In the hearts of those﴾ and when the intended purpose was to greatly emphasize the importance of knowledge, it was built for the passive form, revealing what was originally concealed, so he said: ﴿They were given knowledge﴾ indicating that it is the complete and beneficial knowledge, so no one can distort anything of it for the clarification of the truth to them. And in that is an indication that its concealment from others has no effect. And when the intended meaning of beneficial knowledge was mentioned, he indicated that it is in the hearts of others devoid of benefit: ﴿And no one denies﴾ and the original was: by it, but he indicated its greatness and said: ﴿By Our signs﴾ that is, they deny it after knowledge of its greatness by attributing it to us, [and the clarification that no one denies]. ﴿Except the wrongdoers﴾ that is, those firmly rooted in wrongdoing who do not benefit from its light in placing everything in its proper place, rather they are in placing things in the wrong place like one walking in darkness who is affected by their description first by disbelief which is the covering of the lights of the intellects.
