Commentary

And when it has been established that there is no one who can challenge Him, glorified and exalted is He, nor any supporter for one who takes (against Him), and this has been confirmed by observation in the past generations. He brought it closer to the minds with the example that dominates the utmost clarity. He concluded that He has concealed understanding from most of His creation. All of this is indicated by His saying, manifesting His power and all other attributes of His perfection, after He affirmed that their allies are in the lowest ranks of weakness: ﴿Allah created﴾ meaning: the One who cannot be matched in greatness, majesty, beauty, or perfection ﴿the heavens and the earth with truth﴾ meaning: the matter that corresponds to reality, or due to the manifestation that reality corresponds to His informing, or due to the establishment of truth and the invalidation of falsehood. So you will not find anyone who understands Him (p-446) with true understanding while they are equal in humanity, except that he is among the people of tranquility, humility, and reassurance. No one can overpower Him who seeks to take from Him, nor will anyone succeed who disobeys His prophets. Thus, His might became evident, and His wisdom appeared. The reality matched what He informed. Also, the examples are only in tangible matters, which are either celestial or earthly. The existence of these existents is only for the purpose of knowledge of Allah, the Exalted.

And when the intended meaning of the world may be concealed, He clarified it by saying, emphasizing that their state in not benefiting from contemplating it is like that of one who denies that there is any indication in it: ﴿Indeed, in that﴾ meaning: the great matter of their contemplation for the correspondence of reality to His informing, glorified and exalted is He. He does not inform of anything except that the reality of it or of what is in it corresponds to it equally. ﴿A sign﴾ meaning: a beneficial indication ﴿for the believers﴾ meaning: those who are truly knowledgeable in reality. Their knowledge of what is in the two realms of benefits that result from the known order, along with what is in their own creation, with the greatness of the bodies and the wondrous precision, led them to believe in all that He informed of, until there was no type of doubt among them, and it became a characteristic for them that does not depart.
