And when he denied the lack of knowledge, he declared knowledge and said, warning and threatening, adding to what the context has made clear, such as: 'Indeed, Allah has knowledge of all that they conceal and all that they declare: ﴿And Allah will surely know﴾, meaning: the One who encompasses knowledge and power in the realm of testimony until that becomes evident to you as He is aware of it in the realm of the unseen. ﴿Those who have believed﴾, meaning: faith has occurred among them, and Allah will surely know the believers with sincere faith [by] what He tests them with from trials, and they do not increase except in submission and contentment. He confirmed this when he mentioned that the people thought they would not be tried. ﴿And Allah will surely know﴾ those who have shown hypocrisy, and He will surely know ﴿the hypocrites﴾ similarly through the earthquakes and trials that they sway with however they are swayed, until everyone who has understanding knows that they have no faith as they have no faith. And there is no doubt that He treats each of the two groups according to what He knows of their hearts, and the verse is from the interlocking as mentioned in ﴿Then Allah will surely know those who have been truthful﴾ [Al-Ankabut: 3].
