And when he indicated that there is no escape from that ruin except by guidance, he followed it with the announcement that no one there can do what they might promote to their questioner as they do in this world by showing what has not been repeated to exaggerate that day, to make it horrific, to magnify it, and to terrify it. They ask about the rights of His messengers, blessings and peace be upon them, after asking about His right, glorified and exalted is He, calling out the incapacity of the partners in the Hereafter as they were incapable in the first life.

﴿And the Day He will call them﴾ while they are in a place where the caller can hear them, and their sight penetrates them. They have all emerged before Allah, both those among them who were disobedient and those who were obedient, on one plain. The crowd has taken hold of their breaths, and feet are stacked upon feet. Sweat has restrained them, and they are engulfed in panic. ﴿Then He will say, what﴾ meaning: clarify or specify your answer that ﴿you answered the messengers﴾ meaning: with it.
