And when the Day is, even if it is one, it is multiplied by the multiplicity of its attributes, by what occurs in its midst and its intensifications, on the Day of Resurrection [to emphasize its matter, and to magnify its danger and evil, His saying confirms the inability of the servants to do anything of refusal on the Day of the servants]: (p-333) ﴿And the Day He calls them﴾ meaning: Allah calls those who incite [among] the people and hinder from the path, and make excuses in the matter of faith, and the oneness of the Beneficent Judge ﴿He will say﴾ meaning: Allah: ﴿Where are My partners﴾ meaning: from the idols and others; then [He clarified] that they do not deserve this name by saying: ﴿Those whom you claimed﴾ meaning: you were deeply rooted in it ﴿You claim﴾ so that they may defend against you or against themselves.
