And when the decree was: So he came to them as Allah commanded, and his brother supported him as Allah informed, and they called them to Allah, the Most High. They manifested what they were commanded with of the signs. He built upon that his saying, clarifying with the conjunction the speed of their compliance: ﴿So when they came to them﴾ meaning: Pharaoh and his people.

And when the message of Harun, blessings and peace be upon him, was indeed a support for Musa, blessings and peace be upon him, he indicated that by explicitly mentioning the one who came, saying: ﴿Musa with Our signs﴾ meaning: those which We commanded him with, indicating all the signs for the equality in breaking the norm while they were ﴿clear signs﴾ meaning: in utmost clarity. ﴿They said﴾ meaning: Pharaoh and his soldiers ﴿What is this﴾ [meaning:] that which he has shown of the signs ﴿except a fabricated magic﴾ meaning: it is an illusion with no reality to it like all types of magic, deliberately creating an illusion with it, not that it is a miracle from Allah. ﴿And we have not heard of this﴾ meaning: that which he claimed of the message from Allah ﴿in our forefathers﴾ and they referred to the innovation that has misled most of creation, which is the ruling by the customs of imitation, especially when it has become old in the decisive matters [in his saying:] ﴿the former ones﴾ and they indeed denied and fabricated. They had heard of that in the days of Yusuf, blessings be upon him, "And there is no covenant from old". For he said to them, the one who believed: ﴿O my people, indeed I fear for you the like of the Day of (p-293) the parties﴾ [Ghafir: 30] - until his saying: ﴿And indeed Yusuf had come to you before with clear signs﴾ [Ghafir: 34].
