And when their hearing of his saying was accompanied by his kindness to them, it became a reason for the prayer of Shu'ayb, blessings and peace be upon him, for him. He said, building on what he estimates: So the two women went to their father and informed him of their news and of his kindness to them. He commanded that he be called to reward him: ﴿So she came to him﴾, meaning: because of the father's words and immediately ﴿one of them﴾, meaning: one of the two women, while she was ﴿walking﴾. And when shyness was as if it were a vehicle for her and she was firmly in control of it, possessing its reins, she expressed it with a tool of elevation and said: ﴿with shyness﴾, meaning: a shyness present in her because she was tasked with approaching a foreign man to speak to him and walk alongside him. Then she began to inform him of what the listener was eager to know about her matter and said: ﴿She said﴾ and confirmed the notification of what her father desired in meeting him by saying: ﴿Indeed, my father﴾. And she depicted his state with the present tense, saying: ﴿is calling you to reward you﴾, meaning: to give you a reward, for rewarding is among the traits of the noble, and her acceptance of it is not a shame. ﴿For the reward of what you watered for us﴾, meaning: our livestock. So he hastened to respond due to the compatibility between them, and for that reason he said: ﴿So when﴾ with the letter 'fa' ﴿he came to him﴾, meaning: Musa came to Shu'ayb, blessings and peace be upon them. ﴿And he narrated﴾, meaning: Musa, blessings and peace be upon him, ﴿to him﴾, meaning: Shu'ayb, blessings and peace be upon him, ﴿the story﴾, meaning: he told him his story with Pharaoh and his people regarding their disbelief and tyranny and their humiliation of the servants of Allah. And he followed up on the matters as they were when he perceived in him what Allah had given him of judgment and knowledge, of advice and compassion, and knowledge and wisdom, and majesty and greatness.

And when it was known that there is no life for one who is afraid, the most important thing for a person is safety. He presented him with reassurance by saying: ﴿He said﴾, meaning: Shu'ayb, blessings and peace be upon him: ﴿Do not fear﴾, meaning: for Pharaoh has no authority over what is here. And because Allah's custom has been that your humility, this, has never been in anyone except that Allah decreed his elevation. And for that reason, the outcome was: ﴿You have been saved﴾, meaning: O Musa ﴿from the wrongdoing people﴾, meaning: him and others, even if they were at the height of strength and expertise in wrongdoing.
