And when he informed about her concealing it, he followed the news about her action in discovering his news, which had taken away her mind due to its concealment. So he said, adding to the verse ﴿And she became﴾ [Al-Qasas: 10] ﴿And she said﴾, meaning: his mother ﴿to his sister﴾, meaning: after she had become in that state, his matter had become hidden from her: ﴿Follow him﴾, meaning: pursue his trace and seek his news, land and sea. So she did, ﴿And she saw him from a distance﴾, meaning: from afar without facing him. Therefore, it was said: ﴿And they do not perceive﴾, meaning: they have no perception, neither by her sight nor that she is his sister. Rather, they are in a state of heedlessness, which is in the utmost distance from the rank of divinity.
