And when He clarified what He commanded within Himself, He followed it with what benefits others, saying: ﴿And that I should recite the Qur'an﴾ meaning: I will persist in its recitation and following it - that is, adhering to it - as an act of worship for my Lord, and conveying to the people what I have been sent with to them, wherein there is no doubt that it is from Him. [And to be] present for His commands so that I may act upon them, and for His prohibitions so that I may avoid them, and so that the people may return to Him and rely on Him in every matter. Because He encompasses all knowledge.

And when it became evident that whoever submits to it saves himself, and whoever resists it destroys himself, his Lord, glorified and exalted is He, said to him, comforting, consoling, encouraging, and warning: ﴿So whoever is guided﴾ meaning: by following this Qur'an that calls to Paradise, ﴿then he is guided only for himself﴾ because he revives it by attaining reward and saving himself from punishment. [Indeed, I am one of the bearers of good tidings, I give him glad tidings that he is among the saved.] ﴿And whoever goes astray﴾ meaning: from the path that has been clarified and explained without deviation or crookedness, ﴿then say﴾ to him as you would say to others: ﴿Indeed, I am one of the warners﴾ meaning: warning him of the consequences of his actions, and He only explained it and referred it back, and I was not commanded with it now.
