Commentary
And when the soul longed for the realization of the matter explicitly, he said, magnifying it as a prelude to what he intended to manifest through him, glorified and exalted is He, from the wondrous miracles: "O Moses, indeed it is" meaning: the great and glorious affair, which cannot be described. "I am Allah" meaning: the one who has reached such greatness that imaginations fall short of it, and the windows of understanding diminish before it. Then he made him understand from what that contains two descriptions that indicate to him about His actions with him, and he said: "The Almighty" [meaning:] the one who reaches all that He desires and nothing from what is with Him can be reached except through the path He intends. "The Wise" meaning: the one who nullifies all that others do if He wills, and no one else can nullify anything of His actions.
