And when the proof of His knowledge became clear by this, he followed it with the proof of His virtue and forbearance. He said: "And indeed, it (the Qur'an) is a guidance, meaning: it is a means to reach the intended goal for those who are granted success, and a mercy, meaning: a blessing and honor for the believers, meaning: those whom He has sealed with faith. So it is a characteristic for them that is firmly established, just as it is for the disbelievers a heaviness in their ears and blindness in their hearts.
