Commentary
And when the description of faith is hidden, He described them with what confirms it from the apparent matters, saying: ﴿Those who establish prayer﴾, meaning: with all of its apparent and hidden limits, from the times, purifications, conditions, pillars, humility, submission, vigilance, and excellence, rectifying what is between them and the Creator.
And when the greatest aim of zakah is merely to provide for the poor, He said: ﴿And they give zakah﴾, meaning: as a kindness in what is between them and the creatures.
And when belief in resurrection is what gathers that and other acts of obedience, He mentioned it with great emphasis to affirm it, saying, informing by making it a condition [except] that it is a condition for what came before: ﴿And they﴾, meaning: while they are.
And when belief in resurrection is the greatest cause of happiness and the place of wisdom, He expressed it in a way that necessitates specificity, not for the sake of specificity but to indicate the ultimate firmness in belief in it, saying: ﴿In the Hereafter they﴾, meaning: they are specified by their ﴿certainty﴾, meaning: they establish certainty in its true establishment and renew it at every moment with what is found among them of advancing towards obedience and refraining from disobedience.
