Then he began to describe Him with what they know of Him, that He is on the utmost opposite of all that their idols are upon. He said: "The One who" and when no one claimed creation, he did not need what indicates specificity. He said: "Created me" meaning: He brought me into existence in the form of determination and design. "So He" meaning: the cause of His uniqueness in creating me is that He is the only one, not another. "Guides me" meaning: to the right path, and because no one knows the inner reality of the created being and can manage its perfection except its Creator. And its Creator can only be All-Hearing, All-Seeing, harmful and beneficial, possessing all perfection. There is no doubt that creation is for the body, and guidance is for the soul. With creation and guidance, all benefits are obtained. The human being has a form from the world of creation and a form from the world of command, and the composition of the form is prioritized, as is evident in this verse. And due to His saying: "So when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit" [Al-Hijr: 29] and similar verses. He mentioned creation in the past because it does not renew in this world, and guidance in the present tense to indicate its renewal and repetition in religion and worldly matters.
