Commentary
And when the decree was: 'So We entered every group of them into a path of those paths,' it was added: 'And We brought near' meaning: We brought close by Our greatness to the people of Musa, blessings and peace be upon him; Al-Baghawi said. Abu Ubaidah said: 'We gathered,' and from it is the night of Al-Muzdalifah, meaning: the night of gathering.
And when this gathering was of the utmost greatness and high rank, it was indicated by the tool of distance, so it was said: 'There,' meaning: over there, for it is a [place] of distance.
'The others' meaning: Fir'aun and his soldiers.
