And when this verse was made known regarding the repudiation of whoever disobeys, regardless of who he is, even if he is one of those who has shown firmness in faith, due to what he sees of great submission, he follows it with his saying: "And put your trust" [meaning:] in Your protection, salvation, and turning towards the warners to obedience. The reading of the people of Medina and Sham with the conjunction 'fa' is more indicative of that: "the Almighty" meaning: the One capable of repelling against you and taking revenge on them, "the Most Merciful" meaning: the One hoped for in honoring all by removing opposition and enmity, and bringing happiness by employing in what pleases Him.
