And when the effects of these stories are visible signs, and the news of them are audible signs, and when there is a consistent pattern of the destruction of the disobedient and the salvation of the obedient in each of them, despite the vastness of the ages, the remoteness of the lands, and the differences of the regions, it is the greatest evidence of the truthfulness of the messengers. It affirms the messages due to their agreement in calling to Allah, their convergence on monotheism, and justice while turning away from this world which is pure evil, and turning towards the Hereafter which is pure good. They adorn themselves with what the servants have unanimously agreed upon as the high morals and the virtues of deeds, and they rid themselves of all vices and distance themselves from every deficiency. This is in reference to the saying at the beginning of the Surah: "And no reminder comes to them" [Ash-Shu'ara: 5]. The news of the message of Muhammad, blessings and peace be upon him, points to what is in the news about the effects of these stories with the audible signs, which are of great indications of his message, blessings and peace be upon him, due to the miracles in terms of composition, arrangement, and other astonishing styles that no nation from the previous nations has been given. And due to the fact that the one who brings those strange stories and the wonderful and astonishing news is unlettered, who has never mixed with a scholar, despite the strong relevance of the Qur'an to the specifics of what is in the story of Shu'ayb, peace be upon him, regarding justice in measuring and weighing, which is the essence of the Qur'an. And that it is the encompassing shade of good and the tent that repels every harm. So he said in response to the excerpt at the beginning: "And indeed it is"; meaning: the reminder (which) he brought them with this news while they are turning away from it and leaving it: "Surely it is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds"; meaning: the One who nurtured them with the comprehensiveness of His knowledge and the greatness of His power, whereby no one else can achieve even the least of it, for He brought them the truth from it through the tongue of one who has never mixed with a scholar at all. And although He, glorified and exalted is He, nourished them with His blessings and managed them with His wisdom, His wisdom necessitated that this reminder be comprehensive due to it being the conclusion, and that it be miraculous due to it being complete, and He revealed it gradually, piece by piece. Repeating in it the mention of the previous stories in each Surah of it what is suitable for the intended purpose of that Surah, expressing what he conveys from it in a way that is appropriate for the aim of that context while considering the reality and matching what is occurring.
