And when the trust was established, and the cause of betrayal was removed, he began to denounce them for consuming His good and worshipping others. He said, warning them of His might, and encouraging them to seek more of His blessings, denouncing their attachment to the desires of the belly, and their reliance on luxury and contentment with the fleeting: "Will you be left?" [meaning:] from the hands of calamities that only Allah can handle. "In what is here" meaning: in your land, these blessings while you are "secure" meaning: you confront the Sovereign, the Subduer, with great sins.
