And when he mentioned what the message prefers, and he indicated the exploration of it because it is more important, he followed it with what results from the mere appearance of them, let alone confronting them with what they dislike. He said: "And they have against me," meaning: by killing a soul of them; and he said: "a sin," even if the killed is not protected, naming him by what they claim. And for that reason, he restricted it with "against them." Also, because what was brought to him from Allah, glorified and exalted is He, is a matter concerning him specifically. "So I fear" [because of that] "that they will kill me," meaning: by that, along with what I subject myself to in exposing myself to them, so I will not be able to convey the message. If Aaron is with me, he will support me in conveying it. All of that is an exploration and a defense against calamity, and an inquiry for well-being, which is not stopped in acceptance as has been previously stated in Surah Ta-Ha.
