And when he mentioned what they adorned themselves with from the roots of acts of worship, by what they have of justice and goodness in actions and words, in bodies and wealth, he followed it with what they abandoned from the major sins which are immorality and wrongdoing. He said: ﴿And those who do not invoke﴾ as a mercy for themselves and as a practice of justice ﴿with Allah﴾ meaning the One who is characterized by the attributes of perfection ﴿as a deity﴾. And the word 'with' implies that He is other than them, but since they were being obstinate to the point that they would mention the names as mentioned at the end of Surah Al-Isra and Al-Hijr, Allah, glorified and exalted is He, said to cut off their obstinacy: ﴿Another﴾ meaning a clear supplication in worship of Him, and not hidden by hypocrisy, so they would be like those upon whom the devils were sent and they urged them on.

The third: the expression with the verb 'to meet' along with the additional source indicating an increase in meaning in His saying: ﴿He will meet a punishment﴾ without 'he will not sin' or 'he will meet a sin' or 'the recompense of his sin.'
