And when He, glorified and exalted is He, has stated that He comes in this Book with what is the truth in response to their like, He clarified that it has been done to all of them in a similar manner. So He said, as a consolation for His Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, and as a comfort and clarification to honor him by pardoning his nation: "And all" meaning from these nations "We struck" with what we have of greatness "for them the examples" until the way became clear to them, and the proof arose - without a doubt - "And all We utterly destroyed" meaning We made them fragments, pieces of complete destruction, such that no one other than Us can reach them and restore them to what they were before the shattering.
