Commentary
And when it became clear by this what is for Allah, the Most High, of the attributes of perfection and the transcendence from every blemish of deficiency, and the proofs of oneness stood firmly, and the evidences of divinity were in perfect harmony, he said, translating those proofs: "Indeed, We have sent down" meaning in this surah and what preceded it, with what We have of greatness, "verses" meaning of wisdom, rulings, proofs, and parables, "clear" with no ambiguity in any of it for anyone among the creation, because Allah has intended your guidance, some of you by clarification, and some of you by creating submission. "And Allah" meaning the greatest king "guides whom He wills" among all the servants "to a straight path" by the power of sending down the verses, and the act of creating faith and humility, so they believe with a firm belief.
