Commentary
And when it is the case that whoever does not suffice with what is lawful burdens himself with seeking what harms him, his saying indicates this by expressing what conveys the remedy: "So whoever seeks" meaning he seeks exceeding "beyond that" the great benefit which has been excluded by usury or sodomy or the solicitation of a hand or an animal or others. "So those are" the ones far from success. "They are the transgressors" meaning those who exceed the limits, due to what that brings about of the mixing of lineages, the violation of honor, the destruction of wealth, and the igniting of evil among the servants.
