And when the believer may encounter what has preceded in his faith from clear or hidden polytheism, He said: ﴿And those who are with their Lord﴾ meaning the One who has no benefactor towards them other than Him alone ﴿do not associate﴾ meaning any form of polytheism at any time, just as no one has associated with Him in His kindness towards them.
