And when the cause of their delusion was their assumption that their condition – in the abundance of provisions of wealth and children – was the condition of the promised, not the threatened, he denied that to them as a warning for those who have been destined for happiness, and for whom goodness and increase have been written. So he said: ﴿Do they think﴾ meaning due to the weakness of their minds ﴿that we only﴾ meaning those ﴿extend﴾ our support to them in our greatness ﴿with﴾ meaning we make it a support for them ﴿from wealth﴾ that we make easy for them ﴿and children﴾ that we enjoy them with.
