Commentary
And when he mentioned its sending down, he caused the evidence of the nearness to resurrection by saying: ﴿So We brought forth﴾ meaning: So We brought out and gave life ﴿for you﴾ specifically, not for Us ﴿by it﴾ meaning: by that water which We made from it every living thing ﴿gardens﴾ meaning: orchards that cover - meaning: conceal - what is inside them with what is in them ﴿of date palms and grapes﴾ he specified these two types for their nobility, and because they are the most abundant fruits among the Arabs. The first is named after its tree due to the abundance of the benefits intended in it, unlike the second, for it is the intended one from its tree; and he referred to others by his saying: ﴿for you﴾ meaning: specifically ﴿in them﴾ meaning: the gardens ﴿are many fruits﴾ and for you in them is other than that.
And when the estimation was: from it - while it is fresh - you enjoy, he added to it his saying: ﴿And from it﴾ meaning: after drying and pressing ﴿you eat﴾ meaning: your eating is renewed by storing, and perhaps he preceded the circumstance to magnify the favor by it.
