Commentary
And when he mentioned the collection of these great attributes, he emphasized their reward and said: ﴿Those﴾ meaning those who have reached the highest level of goodness ﴿they are﴾ specifically ﴿the inheritors﴾ meaning those who are deserving of this description that indicates their permanence after their enemies. They will inherit the abode of Allah due to their closeness to Him and their exclusivity with Him after inheriting the land of this world, which they fought over due to their killing of and weakness against our enemies, the disbelievers, despite their multitude and strength. Thus, the outcome in it was for them as We have written in the Psalms: ﴿Indeed, the earth will be inherited by My righteous servants﴾ [Al-Anbiya: 105] ﴿Certainly, We will destroy the wrongdoers﴾ [Ibrahim: 13] ﴿And We will surely settle you in the land after them﴾ [Ibrahim: 14].
