Commentary
And when He, glorified and exalted is He, established these two proofs, He arranged upon them what is required and the result. He said in a manner of reasoning: ﴿That﴾ meaning what has preceded of the command to be conscious of Allah, and the warning from the majesty of Allah by the gathering, and the evidence for it by the changes in the development of man and plants to what is in its folds of types of wisdom and kinds of subtleties ﴿is that﴾ meaning because you should know that ﴿Allah﴾ meaning the One who encompasses the attributes of perfection ﴿is﴾ meaning alone ﴿the Truth﴾ meaning the most established truth, to the extent that this necessitates that He is capable of all that He wills, for there is no establishment with inability ﴿and that He gives life to the dead﴾ meaning the One who is capable of that, as He will come to mention, is the Most High, the Most Great ﴿and that He is over all things﴾ of creation and otherwise ﴿Capable﴾ ﴿His command is only that when He intends a thing, He says to it 'Be!' and it is﴾ [Ya-Sin: 82]
