Commentary
﴿Hanafa lil-lah﴾ He who has all perfection. There is no deviation in anything of His actions. They were thus together in absolute inclination because falsehood revolves around strength and difficulty. While true faith, as mentioned in Al-Baqarah, is about gentleness and ease. Therefore, the one who is false is turning away from the evidence due to its density, while the one who is true is turning towards the evidence due to its clarity.
When he understood this oneness, he confirmed it by saying: ﴿Ghayra mushrikina bihi﴾ meaning anything of association. Rather, being sincere to Him in religion. This indicates the greatness of oneness and its elevation, and the horribleness of association and its lowliness, by His saying, admonishing against it, adding to what is meant: So whoever obeys that, his moderation leads to the highest companion: ﴿Wa man yushrik﴾ meaning he commits any act of association ﴿Billah﴾ meaning the One who has all greatness, for anything (p-44) of things at any time. ﴿Fa ka-annama kharra min as-samai﴾ for the elevation of what was in it from the peaks of oneness and the lowliness of what he has fallen into from the depths of association.
When the one who has fallen from this elevation is certainly torn apart, either by the claws of birds or by falling onto a surface, he expressed that by saying: ﴿Fatakhtafuhu at-tayru﴾ meaning pieces among them, while he is descending in the air before he reaches the ground. ﴿Aw tahwi bihi ar-rih﴾ meaning where he does not find in the air anything that destroys him ﴿Fi makan﴾ from the earth ﴿sahiq﴾ meaning far down, so he is torn apart upon reaching the ground due to the force of the fall and the intensity of the pressure from the distance of the place he fell from and slipped from. The verse is from the interdependence: the snatching of the bird, which is linked to the tearing apart, first indicates the removal of the tearing apart, and the far place, which is linked to reaching the ground, second indicates the removal of its opposite first. Then He magnified what has preceded from the oneness and what is caused by it by indicating with the tool of distance.
