And when Allah, glorified and exalted is He, does not approve of one who lies about Him, let alone affirm and support him, and nothing of what he intends is hidden from Him, so that he must suffer a deficiency in what he desires, He said, indicating to them the truthfulness of his words, alerting them to the position of the argument in his matter - according to the reading of Hamzah, al-Kisai, and Hafs from Asim, and in response to one who might say: So what is to be said to these? - according to the reading of the others: 'My Lord said' who is gracious to me by supporting me with everything that clarifies my truthfulness and encourages following me. 'He knows the saying' whether it is secret or public.

And when one who hears from these two distances hears from any distance other than them, it is certainly valid, he does not need to gather that the intention of the genus is correct. So he said: 'In the heavens and the earth' equally, because there is no distance between Him and anything of that. 'And He alone is the Hearing, the Knowing' hears everything that can be heard, and knows everything that can be known of the saying and otherwise. So He hears your secret, and nullifies your plot, and hears what I attribute to Him from this mention. If it were not from Him, I would have been shaken. And His ancient tradition has occurred among the former ones, with the destruction of the deniers, and the support of the truthful, and their salvation from the time of Noah, peace be upon him, to this time, and His knowledge of the state of the two groups.

And you will know to whom belongs the outcome. And He indicated this in these prophets, peace be upon them, whose stories He mentioned in this surah, pointing to what preceded it of the rulings and matters. 'And We were knowing of it' [al-Anbiya: 51] 'When he said to his father and his people' [al-Anbiya: 52] 'And We were witnesses to their judgment' [al-Anbiya: 78] and 'And We were knowing of everything' [al-Anbiya: 81] 'And I do not know whether what you are promised is near or far' [al-Anbiya: 109] 'Indeed, He knows the public from the saying and knows what you conceal' [al-Anbiya: 110] 'That the earth will be inherited by My righteous servants' [al-Anbiya: 105] 'Certainly, He will make them successors in the earth as He made those before them successors' [an-Nur: 55].
