Commentary

And when He mentioned the sky, He mentioned what arises from it and said: "And He is" meaning no one other than Him, "the One who created the night and the day." Then He followed them with their signs and said: "And the sun," which is the sign of the day and by which its existence is, "and the moon," which is the sign of the night. And when He mentioned the greatest of its signs and made the rest of the stars understood, He began anew as if He said: Is all of it in one sky? "Each" [meaning -] of that "is in an orbit." So it is as if it was said: What do you do? And it was said [to emphasize the perspective of the rational beings... and He transferred them to it -]: "They swim" meaning each one swims in the orbit that was made for it.
