Commentary
﴿They glorify﴾ meaning they declare the One deserving of glorification free from all imperfections by various forms of glorification through words and actions [which are acts of worship, thus necessitating with the negation of deficiencies the affirmation of perfection -] ﴿night and day﴾ meaning [in all their times [always. [And since He did not explicitly state here their denial, nor what it entails of arrogance, He neither confirmed nor connected with 'and' saying -]: ﴿They do not slacken﴾ from that at any time [unlike what is in 'Faslat' for the matter there is based on the limit of their arrogance which necessitates (p-402) their denial which requires confirmation -], and all of this is in the context of 'if' meaning if We reveal something from the Quran warning against your sayings clarifying your falsehoods, then the appearance of falsehood's vanishing is sudden, and woe to you, and the dominion belongs to Him, glorified is He, free from all deficiency [affirming for Him through worship all perfection -], and it is permissible to connect to ﴿We cast﴾ [Prophets: 18].
