Commentary

﴿So he felt﴾ that is, he concealed because of that. Its reality is: he caused a feeling of apprehension, that is, a thought and a conscience. (p-307) And when the situation was to show the miracles through him, it was sometimes understood that he caused it in the soul of someone other than himself. The situation was for the concern of presenting the related matter, so he said for that reason, not for the sake of maintaining the pauses: ﴿in his soul﴾ that is, specifically. [And he presented what the situation was for and the concern for it, so he said -]: ﴿the fear of Musa﴾ like what he feared from his staff when he first saw it, just as it is the nature of humans. And to look at the nature, he expressed by the soul, not the heart for example.
