Commentary
And when that was a frightening matter, the listener anticipated what would be his condition in such a situation thereafter. So he began to inform him by saying: ﴿He said﴾, meaning Allah, glorified and exalted is He, regarding what would happen with Pharaoh for the sake of training: (p-282) ﴿Take it and do not fear﴾, indicating that he feared it due to the nature of human disposition. Then he justified the prohibition of fear by saying ﴿We will return it﴾, meaning with Our greatness when you take it, with a promise that will not fail. ﴿Its course﴾, meaning its way, ﴿the first﴾, as it was a staff.
