And when their assumption was this, it was the ugliest of corruption. For if it had not been known to him from Allah, no one else could express it in words that the creatures would be unable to match. He reached with his saying, reproaching them, "Do they not know that the knowledge of the believers regarding that is only from Allah due to the evidence of the miracle?" Do they not know that Allah, who has encompassed all things, "knows what they conceal," meaning what they hide in their words to their companions and others, "and what they declare," meaning what they reveal of that, and He informs His allies about it.
