And when the prevailing condition among most people was rigidity, He repeated the call to them, emphasizing kindness towards them after the warning and fear. He said: ﴿O Children of Israel﴾, meaning those whom I honored and honored their descendants after them with various types of honor. ﴿Remember My favor﴾, and He magnified its importance by saying: ﴿which I bestowed upon you﴾, meaning by sending down the Books and sending the Messengers and other than that. ﴿And that I preferred you﴾, and preference is the increase from the side of closeness and elevation in what is subject to increase and decrease, as stated by al-Harali.

﴿over the worlds﴾, and they are those who had come into existence at that time specifically, excluding others. And this does not include those who had not come into existence at that time, as will be clarified shortly from al-Harali. And what necessitates certainty in this is His saying, exalted is He: ﴿You are the best nation ever raised for mankind﴾ [Aal 'Imran: 110].
