And when he permitted coming to women in the place of cultivation, however it may be, and prohibited what is besides that, and prohibited from the place of cultivation during menstruation, between the ruling of what if a person prevents himself from that by [UNTRANSLATED-LATIN: ilah] or by an absolute oath, even if not in the manner of [UNTRANSLATED-LATIN: ilah], because he transmitted from many of them the intensity of inclination towards marriage. He feared the encounter during the prohibition, so the intensity of piety led him to prevent himself by a barrier of [UNTRANSLATED-LATIN: muzhara] as he clarified in Surah Al-Mujadila or other oaths. So he prohibited them from that by His saying, the Most High, justly turning away from the address of His Prophet, blessings and peace be upon him, in glorification of his status: "And do not make Allah..." meaning the One whose majesty, greatness, and perfection nothing can compare to, "an object of your oaths," meaning exposed to your oaths, so that it would be in a position where it is dishonored and degraded. For if that prolongs, it leads to the audacity of lying and brings about the most disgraceful of things.
Al-Harali said: And the object of oaths is the mention of something and taking it without intention towards it, but there is an intention towards something else. "That" means for the purpose of "that you do good" in the wealth of orphans and other matters that have been previously commanded or prohibited. "And that you be conscious of Allah," meaning your oaths lead you to righteousness, which is the expansiveness in every beautiful character, and piety, which is the deep immersion in the fear of Allah, glorified and exalted is He. "And that you reconcile between people," so that you make your oaths a habit for you, and you swear at times that you will do and at other times that you will not do, to obligate yourselves to those matters. For indeed, whoever does not submit to good except by a guide from an oath or otherwise is not of sincere resolve. And in proverbs: A horse does not run except with a spur; what a bad horse it is.
And when the context and the conjunction indicated something not mentioned, the estimation is: So Allah is glorious and great. He followed that with His saying: "And Allah," meaning by what He has of might and greatness, "is All-Hearing" of all that occurs from that and other than it, "All-Knowing" of what is concealed of it and what is declared. So beware of Him in all that He commands you and prohibits you from. It is permissible that the sentence is a state of the waw of "that you make," so there is no estimation, and the manifestation is in the place of the concealment for the glorification of the status.
