And when this contains a warning about that day which cuts the hearts, necessitating turning towards what saves from it, he was astonished by the state of the one who disbelieved in it, reproaching him, denying him, and referring to what the context has guided to. He said, expressing the desire for good with the vision that is the way to encompass things in knowledge and experience, and to the correctness of the news about them: "Have you seen?" meaning, have you seen the one who turns away from this day? So you saw the one who increased upon that by saying, "He has disbelieved in Our signs," which indicate Our greatness through clear evidences. And he said, out of boldness and ignorance; or it could be said: when he made the matter of that day terrifying. And he unveiled the veils of their statements and clarified their weakness, this led to the astonishment of the one who says: "I will certainly be given," meaning, by Allah, at the moment of its establishment, from whom there is the giving there of "wealth and children," [meaning, great things]. So it was not enough for him in his ignorance to incapacitate the able one until he added to it the ability of the incapable.
