And when it was distinguished by these attributes from the abode of falsehood, it indicated the elevation of its rank. He means by saying: 'That is the Paradise' with a tool of distance due to its high status and the greatness of its matter. 'Which We will inherit' means We will give the gift of inheritance, in which there is no toil from the time of being qualified for it by death, nor toil nor retrieval. 'From Our servants' who We have purified for Us, so they were free from polytheism in intention and action. 'Whoever was' means by nature and disposition 'pious' means one who is excessive in piety. He is in the utmost fear of Us for his awareness that he is a servant. Al-Razi said in Al-Lawa'ih: No one draws nearer to his Lord with anything better than adhering to servitude and showing dependence. The servant may be humble by his attributes, yet he is honored by the attributes of the Truth, glorified and exalted is He. This is an indication of the reason for inheriting it, which is piety.
