Commentary

'And he used to command his family to pray,' which is the purity of the body and the delight of the eyes and the best aid for all needs. 'And the zakah,' which is the purity of wealth, as Allah has commanded this to all the prophets, blessings and peace be upon them. It has been mentioned in this surah that He, glorified and exalted is He, commanded this to 'Isa, peace be upon him. 'And he was with his Lord,' for his worship according to what His lordship established for him. 'Pleased,' so you should follow him, for he is among your most noble forefathers, to combine between the purity of speech, body, and wealth, so that you may attain the rank of being pleased.
