Commentary
Indeed, We are by Our greatness that necessitated this, and there is no doubt. It has been reported that the emphasis of the name 'Indeed' indicates that the attribution is to Him, glorified and exalted is He, and not to anyone among His soldiers. 'We will inherit the earth' means that we will not leave in it a dweller, whether rational or otherwise. Since the rational being is stronger than the others, it has been explicitly stated after its entry, saying: 'And whoever is upon it,' meaning among the rational beings, that we will strip them of all that is in their hands. 'And to Us' means not to anyone else among the world and its tyrants. 'They will be returned' implies a meaning in this world and a reality after death.
