﴿Give me﴾ with the opening of the hamzah, and extending it according to the reading of the congregation [meaning: give me -] and with a connecting hamzah, and a hamzah after it that is silent, meaning: come to me and I have answered you to your request. Then he began enticing towards this reading and said: ﴿Blocks of iron﴾ meaning: bring to me a piece, so they brought it to him (p-137) and he filled what was above the foundation, some of it upon some, in a row of iron and a row of wood. Al-Baghawi said: He kept placing pieces of iron upon the wood and the wood upon the iron.

﴿Until when he had equalized﴾ meaning: with that building ﴿between the two cliffs﴾ meaning: the highest point of the two mountains described, named for their meeting - meaning their facing each other and their closeness - by building in that state in width and length. The reading of those who opened the ص and the د - they are Nafi', Hamzah, Al-Kisai, and Hafs from Asim [the د is] indicative that their facing each other is in utmost straightness, so they are like a wall in which a door has been opened. The reading of Ibn Kathir, Abu Amr, and Ibn Amer by pronouncing them both with a ض indicates that it is with that in utmost strength to the extent that its top and bottom are equal. The reading of Shu'bah from Asim with the ض and the silence of the د indicates the utmost stability and precision in each of them, so nothing from either of them is weakened over time by wind or anything else from corruption on either side by looseness of rods or otherwise. ﴿He said﴾ meaning: to the craftsmen: ﴿Blow﴾ into the molds, so they blew and ignited the fire in it, and it continued like that ﴿until when he made it﴾ (p-138) meaning: all of it ﴿fire, he said﴾ to the people: ﴿Bring me﴾ with the copper ﴿I will pour over it﴾ meaning: the heated iron ﴿tin﴾ from it after melting it, for indeed tin is the molten copper. This is in the reading of Hamzah and Abu Bakr from Asim with the silence of the hamzah, and the reading of the others with the opening of the hamzah and extending it meaning: give me the copper.

So they did that, and it mixed and adhered to one another and became a solid mountain.
