Commentary
Moses, peace be upon him, said out of shyness from him when he regained consciousness, remembering what had happened due to the intensity of his longing for the command of Allah. He remembered that he did not follow him except by the command of Allah: "If I ask you about something after this," O my brother! And he made it known by his intense regret for the denial by saying: "So do not accompany me; rather, separate from me." Then he explained that by saying: "You have reached." He indicated that what had occurred from him in breaching the condition was among the greatest miracles to which he was compelled. He said: "From Me, there is an excuse," for my objection twice and your tolerance of me in both instances. And Allah has informed me of the goodness of your condition in the abundance of your knowledge.
